Platiscs Project KJC

Grace Pacific LLC, Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT), Hawaii Asphalt Paving Industry (HAPI), University of Hawaii and Hawaii Pacific University teamed up on Hawaii’s first Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) plastics project. Plastics in asphalt is the industry’s new and exciting platform towards greener roads. This project garnered both local and national attention (click on links below). 1,950 tons of Hot Mix Asphalt =195,000 plastic bottles were recycled into the road.
